  2. Add to a pressure cooker with water in a 1:3 ratio, a pinch of turmeric and salt.
  3. Pressure cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes (about 3-4 whistles), until soft and mushy.
  4. Let the pressure release naturally, whisk smooth, and temper with your favourite tadka.

  4. Cook until soft, then whisk smooth and add a tempering of ghee, cumin and garlic.
